Classmates at college were lamenting the cost of long distance phone service and debating the relative advantages of Verizon, ATT, and Sprint.
"I've found CTC to be the cheapest plan around," offered one.
"CTC? Who are they?"
"You know," he responded. "Call Them Collect."

Queen Victoria was visiting a town in Northern England to open a new hospital. The town mayor made an announcement that in honour of the occasion, the town would name a road after the Queen.
The first road that was suggested was a residential road, and the suggested name was "Victoria Mews". Sadly, the Queen didn't like the idea of giving her name to that road.
As she said, "We are happy to be a city-center street, but we are not a Mews!"

142857 is a cyclic number - its digits always appear in the same order but will rotate around when multiplied by any number from 1 to 6:
142857 x 1 = 142857
142857 x 2 = 285714
142857 x 3 = 428571
142857 x 4 = 571428
142857 x 5 = 714285
142857 x 6 = 857142
Pretty cool, huh? Now multiply 142857 by 7.

Trivia answer....
Are giant crab spiders ferocious?
Giant crab spiders have such a ferocious appearance they earned a spot as extras in the horror film Arachnophobia. The creatures, however, eat cockroaches, crickets, and caterpillars, more than compensating for their scary appearance.
The Giant Crab Spider is in the family Sparassidae. The spiders in this family are large, 3/8-1" (10-25 mm) long, and named for their crablike legs. They somewhat resemble crab spiders of the family Thomisidae but are larger and have a soft, 3-lobed membrane at the end of the sixth joint of each leg, which gives the foot an extra extension. Like crab spiders, giant crab spiders have 2 claws at the tip of each tarsus. Each fang folds into a distinct groove that is armed with teeth. The 8 eyes are arranged in 2 rows of 4 eyes each. Mostly tropical spiders, they are found in North America only in the U.S. Southwest and Florida. The group was previously known as Family Heteropodidae.
