Ideals are like stars: you will not succeed in touching them with your hands, but like the seafaring man on the ocean desert of waters, you choose them as your guides, and following them, you reach your destiny. -- Carl Schurz
Don't rule out working with your hands. It does not preclude using your head. -- Andy Rooney
When we do the best that we can, we never know what miracle is wrought in our life, or in the life of another. -- Helen Keller, O Magazine, December 2003
Correggio (1494-1534), one of the greatest painters of all time, was paid for one of his canvases with a 50-pound bag of coppers ...and died as the result of the exertion of carrying it home.

A Molson moment. . .

A man was eating a meal at a restaurant. He checks his pockets and leaves his tip -- three pennies. As he strides toward the door, his waitress muses, only half to herself, "You know, you can tell a lot about a man by the tip he leaves."
The man turns around, curiosity getting the better of him. "Oh, really? Tell me, what does my tip say?"
"Well, this penny tells me you're a thrifty man."
Barely able to conceal his pride, the man utters, "Hmm, true enough."
"And this penny, it tells me you're a bachelor."
Surprised at her perception, he says, "Well, that's true, too."
"And the third penny tells me that your father was one, too."
When you see the handwriting on the wall, you can bet you're in a public restroom.
A man was in a bar all day and he had to use the bathroom. He was in there for a while, yelling, so the barmaid reluctantly went to the bathroom to check on him.
"Sir, what are you yelling about? You're scaring the customers."
"Every time I try to flush the toilet something keeps biting my testicles!"
"Sir, please get off the mop bucket."

One of the joys of living in a small town was revealed to me while I vacationed in a northern Michigan village.
At the post office, I noticed a poster with a photograph of a woman smiling. Just below the picture was this message:
"Have you seen this person? If so, give her a hug. Today is her birthday."
By following the simple advice I read in an article, I have finally found the secret of inner peace! The article read:
"The way to achieve inner peace is to finish all the things you've started."
So...
I looked around the house to see all the things I started and hadn't finished and, before coming to work this morning, I finished off a bottle of red wine, a bottle of white, the Bailey's, Kahlua and Tia Maria, all my dope, some valium, all my cigarettes and a box of chocolates!
YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW BLOODY GOOD I FEEL...
